the root of the problem, not merely the symptoms, that profound
changes and transformations occur.
Natural Therapies:
Botanical Medicine: Using medicinal plants and
Chinese herbal formulas which have been used and perfected over
thousands of years.
Clinical Nutrition: Using food and diet, vitamins,
minerals, enzymes, and other nutritional supplements to promote
wellness.
Classical Homeopathy: Minute doses of a remedy are
given to stimulate the body's innate healing response.
Physical & Energetic Medicine: Including acupuncture,
massage and acupressure, hydrotherapy, exercise therapy, Qi Gong,
guided imagery.
Natural Hormone Therapy
Dr. Caplan holds a doctorate of naturopathic medicine and
natural obstetrical certification from the National College of
Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon, one of two nationally
accredited naturopathic colleges in the United States. This doctorate
was awarded after five years of rigorous study and extensive
clinical training in the medical sciences, clinical and physical
diagnosis, Chinese medicine, homeopathy, and natural therapeutics.
Dr. Caplan has had extensive practice in family medicine, gynecology,
and natural childbirth.
Dr. Caplan also studied Chinese medicine at the Oregon
School of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon and is certified
in transformational hypnotherapy from Heartwood Institute in
California.
Dr. Caplan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental
Studies from the University of Vermont
Licensed in Vermont, Dr. Caplan has been practicing there
since 1995. She is the founder and director of Vermont Integrative
Medicine, a member of the American Association of Naturopathic
Physicians and the Vermont Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
Dr. Caplan also founded and directs the Gar Tibet Health
Project and a health care project in a rural mountain community
in Honduras.
